does my niece need to file a restraning order?

My brother sexually molested his daughter. She was in foster care but is now living with me. She will age out of foster care in 2 days. Does she need to file a restraining order against her father? He has not gone to trial yet and won't until May. This court case has been ongoing for about 2 years now. She was 16 years old when she 1st went to foster care. I know it was part of his agreement with bail to have no contact but will that change since she is now an adult?

Check with the victim advocate in the prosecutor's office.

I suspect that a condition of the creep's bail is that he stay away from her.

Some judges will not issue restraining orders in such circumstances.
