Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft does shoplifting case affect ur h1b visa process

hello,

my friend caught for shoplifting and store manager send his detail to lost prevention department and left him .at the same time his h1b visa process is going on
so please help me to guide him does it affect to h1b visa process if he pays fine on time.and does this information goes to immigration or any other department which might affect his stay in usa?
please help me to guide him

You are not clear were Police called or involved? If not this should have no impact on his immigration status

so far there is no involvement of police yet.
he has given his name and DOB to store manager and signed a form to send lost prevention department which might be followed by a letter to pay fine
and let say if he pay on time so what will be the result on his immigration process
