Does the landlord have to plow?

Does my landlord have to plow our parking lot? Or do we, the tenants have to pay out of pocket to have it plowed? We don't mind shoveling the walks, but the parking lot is too big to be shovelled by hand.

It doesn't say anything. I have read and re-read our lease, and haven't found anything about snow removal. The landlord asked if I knew anyone who could do it. I know a few people, but they all want to be paid at least $50 because the parking lot is not paved and it is large (can fit ten cars with space between). If I have someone plow, can I deduct the money charged from my rent? My landlord refuses to pay more than $25-30 for the drive to be plowed, which means that only a path to the end of the driveway will be done.

It appears that if you wish this to be plowed, you'll need to do it yourself and pay for it.

If you attempt to deduct the cost from your rent, you may open yourself up to being evicted.

I just wanted to find out if there was something like a law regarding the snow removal. I have only found one article about snow removal for this area and it says that the landlord is responsible for the exits of the building. They do not take care of that, my husband and the third floor in the front does.
