My girl friend and I had a small misunderstanding over a car sit for our son...she wanted to get a second car sit to her own car living me without.She followed me out side to my car stopping me from living the parking lot.she crabs my shirt and I suddenly throw my hand backwards and hit her,as she rushed into me more and there was a fight..she call the police and explain the issue to them but however insisted that the police should not arrest me because she only needed them to get the car sit out of my car..Because she stated to the police in her explanation that I hit her,they arrested me and I was in jail for two days.She is cry everyday over the issue because she never intended things could happened the way they do.I was bail and awaiting trial on the 24 of August 2010..I have never been arrested or ticketed before ever in my entire live..this is my first encounter with police/law..and I'm worried because I don't know what the sntencing might be and how it's going to affect my career ...I'm in nursing school presently..

Don't worry too much. It sounds like a weak case, as you describe it here. If your girlfriend is uncooperative then the DA may be unlikely to pursue charges. Lawyer up if you can, or work with the public defender when the time comes. You need to portray her as the aggressor in the incident (since she was according to your description).
