Down Payment Refund

Am I eligible to receive a down payment refund? I purchased a used vehicle about 4 months ago. The check engine light came on the day I drove it home? I took it to the repair shop partnered with the dealership every week for about 2 months after I purchased the vehicle and periodically after the two months. To this day the check engine light is still on. The car jerks and shakes as if it wants to shut off. Do I have the right to ask for a refund down payment, a replacement car or neither?

You can ask but "generally" used cars are purchased "as is" (let the buyer beware).
