During a weekend afternoon on the boardwalk, my friends and I were caught with open bottles of beer in a parking lot by local police. We're all of age and the oldest of the group (who is from out of state) took the fine for the summons. I was panicked in disposing of the bottles and didn't hear clearly, but when it comes to fining, will it be the one charge to the friend who the ticket was written out to, or will the calculate in how many people were present? From what I saw from the document, it says one charge. Does anyone have any experience with this that could contribute expert advice? Thanks.

A civil infraction ticket isn't like the bill at a restaurant. I'm pretty sure the person to whom the infraction is written to will pay the entire thing, otherwise, you'll get something in the mail.
