my doughter was driving and was pulled over for speeding she is 17 and we live in frankilin county ohio. she was told she was being issued a citation for going 60 in a 45.
so she has to appear in juvinal court so said the poice officer. but when reading on the frankin county juvinial court web sit it said you only had to go to court for going over the speed limit by 20 miles per hour.
also i know she was not speeding i was in the car with her and she was maybe going 50 at the max. she is a very cautious driver and would never drive recklessly like that.
thank you for any help or ideas on if i actually do need to show up for court or not.

F-ck this crap! I'm so freagin sick and tired of people comming in here, with charges for malprohibitum crimes, and the freagin government is stealing money ontop of unconstitutional acts.

Rumcakerox: the above is not directed at you. Check your pm's, and you will find the answere. This case you posted, is, well, a crock for freagin crap! (Not what you posted, I'm talking the charge. It's all bunk, bs, poppy cock) "Pay your fair share comrad". F-that. DEFAULT THE PROSECUTOR.

Your best bet is to show up for court and see if you can get some type of deferment or dismissal. Barring that you may want to go to court and fight the ticket since you were a witness.

Scooterdog - keep it under control and chill. To begin, while I don't disagree with you that there are cases where local government abuses its power, this may or may not be one of them. We don't know. As is commonly said by inmates "in this place, everyone is innocent."

There have been situations where I know people were going down a hill and they don't realize that their vehicle is traveling faster than it is. I also know that in new cars it feels like the car isn't going that fast. That said, it is possible that the officer was giving out tickets to meet a quota.

But let's keep it under control because we really don't know the situations and, in many cases that I see here, it's frequently teenagers who are not so cautious and are just looking for a way to get out of some thoughtless conduct that they wish they could do over.
