Approx 3 months ago. I was ticketed for not stopping prior to a sidewalk (civil) and Driving on a Restricted Lisence (criminal traffic). I have photographs the sidewalk doesnt exist. Today in a pretrial conference the officer no showed the civil was not spoken about. Enroute from work to home I stopped at grocery store then started home again thats how I got my Driving on restricted citation. I need some help with a defense strategie. Also when is best to file for discovery? Anyhelp please

Hire a lawyer, you're going to lose that driving privilege.

Thank you, Even proving knowledge of my driving was illegally obtained, with insisting on reading private documents from my glove box. Or argue the point of implied exeptions like stopping at a gas station to refuel? Or is the line drawn when I exit my vehicle, Can i run through a drive through in the same property of my work? I will look for a lawyer if you think I cant build a case on those principals. Will hiring a lawyer gaurantee or improve chances to get this dismissed?

You possess a restricted license.
You should obey the restrictions and conditions imposed.
The arguments Yiu wish to make will only cause you more grief.
A lawyer can't guarantee a specific outcome.
But, without one, you won't like the outcome.

It doesn't matter why you stopped. You have no argument to make.

You do not describe any illegal or wrongful action on the part of the officer.

Fighting this is not a waste of time- you might be successful in getting the charge reduced... but do not expect it to be dismissed.
