I was recently caught in Inglewood, CA, driving on a suspended licence. The licence was suspended for a failure to appear on a speeding ticket. My car was impounded, but I was not arrested.
I had known that the licence was suspended since late summer 2004, but was unable to pay the fine imposed, and had hoped to pay it off before the worst happened
. I have taken care of the licence suspension, and plan to plead "Guilty" in court, but I am a little nervous about it. I can't afford a lawyer, and my criminal/driving record is completely clean. Does anyone have any advice about appearing in court? I'm very nervous about going to jail for this...can someone help?
