A family member was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell, out of state (Maryland), he is 20 and it is his first offense. What should be our first steps to try to get him out?

Try talking to a lawyer if you can afford one. He would walk you through the process. If you have money and can post bond, get the person out if the charge has a pre-set amount and does not need a judge. Talking to lawyer would address all your concerns for now. A local lawyer would know how that county court and state law functions.......Most lawyers would do a free initial consultation. Take advantage of that.
