Which is worse on your record (this is in California) , a felony marijuana cultivation drug conviction or a felony possession of a deadly weapons conviction in terms of consequences other than sentencing?

Brother, I think this is a wash.

Neither one of those offers a better choice.

If I had to choose, I'd avoid any kind of plea to a weapons charge. That shows a propensity towards violence.

Your best bet is to consult with your attorney about this.

Other than sentencing? Why do you ask?

Both are felonies, both have ramifications inherent with a felony conviction, and both could have impacts on future employment opportunities.

If I had to choose, I too would avoid the weapons charge.
It is California- felony or not, many people might be sympathetic to the marijuana cultivation.
