Today in Bellevue, WA, as I entered the parking lot of a park & ride, there was a Bellevue cop that was pulling out onto the street as I was pulling in. I noticed him checking out the car I was driving which unfortunately has expired tabs (my roomate's car). Knowing my license was suspended, I didn't waste any time spot hunting, I parked and got out of the car as quick as I could and began walking to the bus stop.
I was about 50 feet from the car, when I saw the same cop pulling back into the park and ride. He asked me to go back to the car on his PA speaker. He ran my ID and let me know that I had a warrant (FTA) from a ticket about a year ago and he'd have to take me in. He also said I'd be charged with DWLS3 (Driving with License Suspended) however he didn't write a citation nor did I sign anything related to that offense. Keep in mind, when he confronted me I was on foot, the car was parked and turned off, but he did know I was the driver. I feel there's a way to get this thrown out, what should I do?
