Hello,

I was recently pulled over driving a friends car that's plates were overdue(trying not to be pissed at them). I now live in WA but posess an OR license as I have just recently moved here. My OR license is suspended, which I had no idea about. After calling around I have determined the reason for my suspension is a year old speeding ticket that I thought I had paid. Anyways I have no criminal record an no other prior arrests. I will have my OR license out of suspension within one week and a half.

The police officer told me I should have a citation mailed to me within two months with a date to appear. I do plan to talk to an attorney. I'm looking for a little peace of mind. If anyone can help please contribute.

What realistically could happen, and more importantly what will probably happen??

Thanks in advance

You need to make sure that you have your license reinstated plus proof of insurance before you go to court.

Then when you go to court, before you go before the judge, talk to the prosecutor and beg and plead for mercy.

Bring all your documentation to court.
