I filed a complaint in the small claims court because my ex landlord owes me for the overpayment of rent.
I have substantial email correspondence between me, the landlord and his realtor which back up my case. One such email is CCed from the letting agent telling the landlord to repay my deposit in full.
Can I present this as evidence in my case should it go to trial?

Yes.
Will the judge allow it?
Usually.

One minor distinction, however.

Nothing becomes evidence until it has been admitted at trial.
