Our daughter was married at 16, then divorced at 17 . The state saw her as emancipated while she was married. Is she still viewed as emancipated or does her legal cost fall back on us as her parents. Note she has not been in the home. Washington State

There are some states where if a minor who has been emancipated by virtue of marriage is divorced while still under 18, the emancipation is automatically revoked and she/he immediately goes back under her parents authority again. However, I have been unable to determine if Washington is one of those states. I would suggest calling the clerk of courts in your jurisdiction and ask.
