Emancipation

Hello,
First of all I have a young friend that is dating a 19 year old. He wants her to move in with him. She wants to but would like to know if she can get emancipated from her parents she has a stedy job, can support herself, and has a place to live. They arent having sexual realtions together and want to wait. Also, they want to marry each other and she doesnt know what to do. She came to me for advice and i dont know what to tell her can u please to give me advice to give her. I dont really know what to do because i never been in a situation like hse is in now. How would she do this?

How old is your friend?

If she is under 18, she may as well make up her mind to waiting. A judge is not going to emancipate a minor because she wants to get married no matter how well she thinks she can support herself. It just is not going to happen so she may as well stop thinking about it.

If she is under 18 she cannot be married without parental permission.

She can move out on the earlier of the day her parents give her permission or her 18th birthday.

What is going to happen?

Thank You, but the thing is that it just isnt that she wants to get married her mother treats her like crap. There are alot of her friends that can be a witness to this! She does everything that her mother asks but after she is done or if she doesnt do it perfect her mother yells at her. I mean it is rediculious how her mother yells at her. She is also living with her mother step father and her brother. Her brothers and sisters are always talking about how she is the child that know1 ever wanted. Cause she is the child that wasnt expected. So they constantly tease her and say they hate her. So what is suppose to do then. And sometimes i think she is suicidal and i dont need her to do that!!! Please reply back to this and help me thank you!!
