My son is in 5th grade and has recently started taking a medication for his emotional problems. He was very anxious about starting the medicine fearing that the other students would tease him. I explained that noone except his teachers will know about it. Then, two days ago, he was tapping his foot in class and the art teacher turned around and said - in front of the entire class - "Did you forget to take your meds today Jake?" He was near tears by the time I met up with him that morning. Then yesterday in the lunch room, he went to sit at a table and ALL of the children got up and moved away making comments as they passed him like "You need to go take your medicine Jake!" and "Weirdo". He is in such a fragile emotional state right now that I am deeply concerned. I have not sent him back to school and at this point I don't intend to. Do I have a legal case?

Have you called the principal of the school and complained? I actually have no idea if the teacher broke a law or not.

I don't know if your child is showing behaivor problems, But if he is and the school suggests going into a behavior class, don't be bullied by the school to do so. it will ruin your childs life. Schools want children medicated so they sit there and be quiet. Contact your state department of education. They will investigate. Good luck
