alright i've been wanting to ask this ? so back in 2010 in may while i was working at a supermarket late at night a customer dropped some money total of $8.00 near the self checkout machine. i saw it and left it their for like 20 mins to see if the customer would come back but didn't so i got greedy n put the money in my pocket and about 20 mins later clocked off my shift and went home. the next day i clocked in went upstairs to the breakroom to look at my schedule and was approached by lp. they asked me my name and told me to come into the backroom to talk. i already knew what this was so i had no intention to lie about anything (probably got me on cam so lying wouldnt work either way) the lp guy took out a recorder and begin the interrogation. i told them the truth, signed some papers and wrote what happened and they asked me if i'd pay the customer back and i said definitely and after that was over i was told i'd be suspended until the further investigation....so i had to clock out and was escorted by the lp guys out of the store. a week later i got a letter and it was from the store manager saying they finished the investigation and i was terminated. this store closed down about 3 months later due to lack of business. now i recently applied to a retail store and i'm wondering if i've been put into this theft database ive seen people talk about and if there was a way this retail store would find out my incident with the store though it doesnt exist?
