Hello, I have a question about employee mistreatment.
My mother works a factory job. She believes that she might have been mistreated by her employer and has been has faced religious discrimination. She also says that other employees have had the same happen to them.
My mother claims that her employer's human resource department at times has forced her to work even though she suffers from carpal tunnel syndrome. They will schedule her to work even though she has requested days to see the doctor. She has also had her employer alter he schedule at the last minute and has forced mandatory days to work.
The forced mandatory days to work also happen to be religious days for her, but they still threaten to fire her.
Is there any legal discourse here?
