Employee Owes Company Money

We have a salesman who is on a draw, but unfortunatly is upside down by quite a bit. He owns a large boat, which is documented. Can we put a lien on it, in case he leaves before making up what he owes us? Thanks.

I dont believe so. Not without a judgement. You will have to research employment law in your state. Can't you just cut the draw off? He will probably then have to find employment somewhere else. If he is so upside down how will he ever pay back the momey?
