I was let go from my previous employer because the company is bad financial shape. I was told when I was let go that they would pay any unused vacation on the date of the next payroll (Setpember 15th). They are now stating that they do not owe me any compensation because Ihad not accrued any unused vacation time. I have read the PTO policy published by this company, but can find no mention of how vacation days are accrued (it only states how personal days are accrued), only that I am to receive 15 days per year. I was let go with no severance pay (because the "company can not aford to pay any"), and just want what is coming to me - 5 days of vacation pay. I have comtacted the company and have been passed to several people, all of them state that I have no recourse and are unwilling to pay.

What are my options?
