Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft employment background check for nursing home in KY.

i have the job as long as my background check comes back ok.
the only thing i could think of that may be on my record is a shoplifting thing from when i was 17. they took me to the police station adn i believe fingerprinted me (it was 13 years ago), and called my parents to get me. after that i went to talk to some guy in the basement of the courthouse who told me to write an apology letter to the store. which i did. and that was it. never heard anything else about it. would this be on my record?! it scares me to death because i need this job and i have not done anything like that since. thanx for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since we do not know how case was ruled we cannot say. Its possible there is a record of this. However when you filled out application did you say anything about this? Was there a time frame in which they asked about convictins like 7 years?

i didnt mention it, because it never occured to me that it would be there. it asked if i had been convicted of a felony or had anything pending, which i dont.
what do the courts normally do when they have the juvenile apologize and thats it? there was no court date or nothing. what would it be listed as? is it considered a conviction?

We cant say as were do not know what terms were or were not attached to your letter. It could be that your parents paid a fine you wrote letter and case was dismissed but we cant say.

i asked my mom what happened. she said they just talked to her. there was no court date or anything. and she said there shouldnt be a record. hope she's right!
