I was hired for a civil service custodial position from an active canvass list
I received a call after submitting paperwork,and an interview leading to hire.
While filling out paperwork,I mentioned I was in the process, of recieiving
retirement pay from civil service. The H.R. director who accepted my hire,then
told me I had to immediately cancel my pension distribution or Forfit the hiring
of my position. To cut to the chase:after many problems,interaction with the
NYS retirement system..I was told by a retirement Supervisor..that I was
Strong Armed into canceling my pension pay as per being threatened, not to
receive the position form a civil service list. Thus an act of purpitrated frud
and intimidation by the school district Human Resources Supervisor had transpired.
Do I have a case ?
