Hi, I have a question of what happens at the end of an employment contract. I am an Australian citrizen and work in Western Africa. In the terms & conditions it outlines all the ways you can terminate the contract, except for how it ends. As a general rule (exception being an instant dismissal offence), it says that "...assignments to (the country) will be as specified in the Expatriate's Contract of Employment. In circumstances where this is deemed to be inappropriate the assignment may be terminated by at least three months notice by the Expatriate or the Company. Where there has been a breach of Company rules (including the Code of Conduct) the arrangement may be terminated without notice. In my case, my contract was for 2-years from 25 March 08 to the 24 March 2010. My question is this, if the contract expires on the 24 March 2010, and I choose not to re-new, and/or the company chooses not to offer to re-new, or the company offers to re-new and I refuse thier offer, do I still have to give 3-months notice, or is it all over officially on the 24 March 2010? Thanks

Regards
