I ordered an engine from ATK Engines though Autozone on 10/06/2007. I received the engine and it was installed.Upon installation it was noticed that there was a strange knocking noise coming from the bottom of the block.ATK was notified and had me take it to a mechanic to run some tests.The tests showed nothing but the knock was still heard.I was told to pay the mechanic and i would be reimbursed(which i never was).The engine was sent back to ATK and they said they could not find anything wrong with the engine.Yet they still sent me a replacement engine.
This is where the problem comes in.The 2nd engine was received and installed with the same brand new parts that were put on the other engine.The issue with the 2nd engine is with it overheating when driven.The 1st engine did not overheat.It was taken to a mechanic upon request who couldnt find the issue and i once again footed the bill.The engine was sent back to ATK who claim there is no problem with the engine,that they would hold it for me for 60 days,and for me to get it back i would have to pay to have it shipped back to me.
This doesnt sound right to me and it has been to taken to multiple mechanics who see there is a problem.
Can someone help?
