I live in Germany with my Deutsche husband for 5 yrs.

We have recently moved to a new apt. rented to us by my husbands old boss.

The old boss is now trying to blackmail us because I had to ask him to leave my house after he had taken our mail and lied saying the post man left it in the newspaper box on the house door. He said it was addressed to my husband and that he wanted to give it to him. My name was on it as well.

He was yelling and drunk, all my children were asleep so I asked him to go. He refused so I left and waited for my husband to remove him verbally.

Now he is threatning to go to Jugend Amt and say untrue things about us and he has said he will tell Arbeits Amt lies about my husband.

He also is a friend to the lady we are buying our car from. We pay her monthy on the 1st and 17th every month. My husband has a contract with her for the car. We are a six head family and depend on this auto.

We share the phone, internet and cable with the old boss with 2 #'s . He is an untermieter from us on our rental contract and my husband is property manager together with him. He says he will take back that status of hausverwaltung and kick us out of here or take the phone internet cable car and tell Jungend Amt and Arbeits Amt we do drugs in front of kids and many more false statements.

Help!! My husband does not know what to do so I have taken the problem on myself. He came to me lastnight saying we have to move out fast before he tells these lies.

The man is 51 yrs old, a single gay man who has lived here for 51 yrs. His parents moved out in May this year. He needed us to be renter so he could continue as untermeiter here. He has a key for my house and my post without permission. I also suspect mild poisoning has accured. He is plegedienst ( nurse) for many years.
I am afraid of him he is over 2 meters and weighs 170kg I fear for my husband, children, and myself.
What is the law here in Germany for Erpressung and what can we do?

Unfortunately, I am almost certain we don't have anyone here in the forum who is/are experts on german law. You will have to consult with an attorney in your country.
