my new wife and i are both in our fifties. no wills. She has one adult child, I have no kids. our parents are aging out. we both will receive some bequest in the event of parent's death. how do we structure our wills to look out for each other and preserve the intent of our parents to benefit their seperate "lines of succession"? I don't know what to search for to do research and find resources. help appreciated.

You need ot consult an elder care attorney. Quite possibly both of your parents also need some assistance. You need a will, living will, POA and probalby a living trust. This is not something to try on your own or it will likely end up a mess. The laws of each state differ.
