I currently have a case in family court and I am the plaintiff. The defendant's lawyer recently found out from papers that my attorney filled with the court, that I am employed with the bank that hold his account. The defendant's lawyer recently came into the office where I work, and spoke to my manager about his concerns for his account. I have worked with this bank for over three years, and he was only hired by the defendant two months ago. Can a lawyer over step and do something like this? Is this legal? What should I do about this information?

I don't believe that was unethical. Maybe he really thinks you will access his information for your own benefit. I think he has a right to insure that you don't. BTW, I'm not suggesting that you would, I'm only looking at the situation from both sides.

Were you fired or demoted as a result?
