I need help and am at my witts end. My fiance and I rent a house in MD through a private owner. Over the weekend I made the mistake of informing him that my fiance has a friend staying with us (whom is not on the lease) and that I did not want him there. Due to this, we were informed that the friend and one of our dogs had to go ASAP. Less than a week later, we received a letter from an attorney stating that we have 30 days to vacate the premises or legal proceedings will be required. Of course, my landlord is not taking any calls or emails from me.

Can I fight this if I get this guy out of my house and get rid of the dog? Do I even have a chance in court? I have been residing at the property since March and have never been late on my rent. I have never been in a situation where the word eviction was involved and the legal aid hotlime for my county only takes calls on certain days and always seems to be busy. If any one has some sound legal advise, I would really appreciate it.

Can someone please help me???? I am not financially capable of finding another place at this time and I have two young children. I really need some advise.
