Ex-GF owes money on my credit card

My girlfriend(ex) had to have her car repaired to the tune of $1448. So I helped her out and put it on my credit card, with her saying,"I`ll pay you back when I get my income tax back". That was in august of 07, now its August 08 and she has`ent paid me a cent. What is my best course of action? If it comes down to a wage garnishment, can I do this without a lawer and if so, how do I go about it? Thanks.

Small claims court. Get a judgment and then ask the clerk to help you with the rest since they will need to authorize it. However, you'll probably need to send your ex a demand letter for payment on your judgment first.
