EX Girlfriend Mess

This is my situation. I lived with my ex-girlfriend for about eight months in a condo that I bought on my own nickel and credit. Through that period of time she would give me $300 cash a month for 'rent', help with the groceries, and when the property tax bill came due she helped pay for that with cash. In December she loaned me $3,300.00 to pay off my vehicle. It was a purely verbal agreement. I paid her $2,600.00 last month and then later that same month I found out that she had run off to some guy in South Georgia. I don't know or care what she did but she came back wanting to get her own place. No need for assumptions please we all know what that looks like. Anyways, in the process of her moving out she took some things that she had given to me (i.e a new Nintendo WII for Christmas) and her dog also had done some damage to my condo during his eight month stay. I suggested to her that we call it even on the remaining $700.00 balance given the short notice move, and the damages done by her dog, and the Indian gifting. She said that she would sue me for the remaining balance if I did not pay her. BTW, her mom works for a injury lawyer mainly for insurance companys so I assume that she could possibly get his help at zero cost. Maybe…. Do I have any leg to stand on in court, or will I be forced to pay if it comes to that. Does she have any claim to my condo? I want to be responsible and honest in this situation but I have been damaged financially as a result of this mess as I listed above. Any advice on how to handle this situation from here on out is most appreciated.

she has no claim on your condo and let her sue you for the balance it would be small claims anyways. You can counter claim the dog damage and WII.
