Ex is a cop & is never held account. 4 - no protection/justice 4 me from other cops

My ex-husband is a Sheriff's Deputy in the County where we both live. He has definitely abused his power, threatened, harrassed me, etc. I've tried calling his supervisor, even the town cops but they all stick together and nothing has or ever will be done. We recently went to court because he had not paid me child support in 5 years. Not only did the judge NOT find him in contempt OR make him pay me that back money, he took custody away from me! Did I mention the Judge works for the same county and my ex works in the courthouse quite a bit. I feel like I'm totally helpless. He drinks while driving with my kids in the car but, who would believe me? Even if they did, no one would do anything to him. I don't know what to do. Going back to court seems futile as we would be assigned the same judge and that guy is FIRMLY on the side of my psycho ex. Any advice?

Please explain why you lost custody.

Were you actually given custody to begin with and then Dad got custody?

Or was it an initial determination?
