My ex is pregnant and says it is my child which is possible but tells me i cant have anything to do with the child when it is born and i dont know where she is. What can i do legally. i also just moved to NY and she is in Florida
When you use the term "ex", do you mean "former spouse" or "former girlfriend".
If you were LEGALLY married to this woman when the child was born, you're the putative father.
She can't stop you from seeing your child.
It is your child, because you were legally married to the child's mother.
One day she'll come after you for support.
Talk to a lawyer in Florida for additional guidance.
However, if this woman was a girlfriend, you'll have to prove the child is yours.
That is done via paternity testing.
Once you've established paternity (the state of Florida will assist you), you'll also be required to pay support for the child to the mother!
So, before you open this can of worms, think HARD & LONG!
You might also wish to speak with and retain a Florida lawyer.
