ex not paying debt and i'm being sued

per divorce decree my ex is ordered to pay on a credit card that is in my name . he is not paying and i received a call from an attorney representing the bank letting me know that they are suing me for the debt. that they will accept a portion of the balance if i pay now. i have no money and don't feel i should negotiate with them about this. this is not my responsibility.

If it's any consolation, this happens a lot - there are a ton of questions to this effect on this board.

Short answer: the divorce decree is between you and your husband, and the credit card company is not bound by it. They're entitled to collect from you. Your recourse is against your husband, who is in breach of the divorce decree. You could have him cited for contempt and sue for damages for his failure to uphold his end of the bargain.
