I got a car from my dad and ex made a deal to sell the car but told me he needed to borrow money and said the guy would let him borrow the money but he wanted to hold my title and and car keys until he was paid back. I how ever left my lien on to make sure he couldn't change the title over.yet he managed to get the lien removed and put it in his name the day he was told I had the money. So I don't know who is lying but I never agreed to sell my car to him never even spoke to guy. I want my car back!!!

The easiest way to address this situation is report it your local police agency.
I suggest a visit to speak with a detective, rather than bother a patrol officer.
Explain your problem to the detective at her/his office.
Take all documentation and PROOF to support your allegations.
The detective will advise you according to your state's laws regarding your dilemma.

I was told today by ex that he swears that he didn't agree to sell it.He told me that he paid the guy back and he will not return the car because he figured out a way to get it in his name without me going and removing the lien that was paid off from finance company.Found out today that the only person to witness the deal was our neighbor who is this guys bother in-law but will not testify that the car was to be returned to me after repayment because it's his wife's brother, and does not want to start anything.

Having a lien due to another person, that was satisfied, is not the same as putting your own lien on a car. If the title was properly signed and notarized, you likely have no recourse.

Why waste your valuable time here?
Get thee to your local police station and speak with a detective.
At least you'll know if there is a possibility of the police helping you.
If the police aren't interested, you may never see that car again!!!

I don't think the police will be able to help you. Agreements were made, apparently without documentation, and you have yourself a nice case to sort out in front of Judge Judy in a civil court. You may not get the car back but could be awarded compensation if things go in your favor.

It sounds like OP dishonestly participated in a loan process and now that it backfired, is trying to find a way to get her car back. I will reserve judgment, since that is not the way she presents the story.
