My father passed away in January of this year. My brother is executor and as far as everyone knows my brother, stepmother, sister, and myself are the only other people mention in the will. My brother will not answer questions and acts like he doesn't know anything about questions we ask. My sister and I would like a copy of the will and both him and the lawyer are saying that we need to get a copy from the other person. We are begining to get frustrated and want to know what should be done next? It has already been 7 months and I just want this all over with. Thank you.

That's ridiculous. Does your brother the executor know that this is what his own lawyer is saying? These people are like little children.

I'd tell your brother to either give you a copy of the will (because his lawyer says its his job) or provide you with a written direction that you can bring to the lawyer directing the lawyer to provide a copy of the will.

Sorry if my words were wrong but I have the will, which is just bumbo jumbo, what I want is a copy of the trust, breaking down what everyone is supposed to receive. How is the best way to go about that? Being that I am in the trust and have an idea of what I am to get, I would think I have right to a copy.
