Hi,

So,

Oct 4th, I buy a ticket to India through Expedia, on British Airways.
Oct 9th, a flight on the ticket is changed.
Oct 9th, I try to check my reservation on BA and on another airline, but my reservation cannot be found.
Oct 10th, I cancel my reservation online on Expedia.com. Online I was freely given the option to cancel or to confirm my reservation.

I called and asked for a refund. It took them more than 2 hours total to find my reservation and to tell me that I am not due any refund.

Now, the sum is relatively large, around $2500. I realize that the ticket was most probably non-refundable, as most are nowadays. However:
1. My reservation had not been processed and was not in the BA database or the Jet Privilege database. So, it had not been confirmed.
2. They allowed me freely to cancel the reservation online without any warning or the consequences.
3. The terms and conditions I signed are now nowhere to be found by me - the booking is cancelled on Expedia and the record does not appear.
So, I cannot confirm with any security whether I have any rights to a refund or not. The terms and conditions are also not sent with the e-ticket.
4. In other words, they have charged me before processing my reservation fully and now keep the money, although the reservation has not been processed by BA.
5. Also, I did not get any confirmation for the cancellation in writing (e-mail).

I intend to write to Expedia directly and get their refusal for a refund on record (or their approval, although I doubt that will be the case).
Do I have a case, could I make a small court claim, and what would be my chances for success?

Why not contact your credit card issuer and inform hem of the problem?
More than likely they'll issue you a credit against the amount purchased and charge it back to Expedia.
As far as a lawsuit, you can sue anyone you want.
Don't expect to collect a dime.
If you prevail you'll simply get a "they owe you".
Then you have to collect that.
Lawsuits are the last action you want to take.
Discuss it.
Negotiate and compromise are always best.
In the future, don't buy tickets through middlemen, buy them directly from the air carrier.

That's not the true method.
If you living inside the UK or anywhwere else in EU, do not hesitate to bring their arses to court. I have been buying flight with them for 5 years and when unfortunately not showing for a London to Rio de janeiro return flight, they kept it silent till now.
I am on course suing them in Hammersmith Commercial litige Court. They acting like thieves and do never act proemptively by refunding thee genuine citizen. I d be dare to be ashame of a such a job.
Inside this plant earth there are many dirty mongers receiving help from the local communities.
It goes without saying that a company who has got a billions dollar turnover every single year is endicted to refund each and every customers who were parebare hidden from taking their onerous flights.
They are genuinely corrupted.
Do really not hesitate to stance them a cleaner lesson.
The dirty bastards don't even carethe fact that their UK home office does not appear nowhere within the islands.
If U do have their genuine address, feel free do deliver this info on this very website.
Thank You
