i have not had a court date and been convicted, but i have a feeling i am going to either be charged with a felony or misdemeanor for shoplifting a $49 pair of jeans with a cuticle clipper.. (i feel sick to my stomach every day thinking about it, and this is the biggest regret of my life considering im only 19 and probably messed up my life forever. im scared to death) Im trying to think of the long term. ive been looking into getting a criminal record eventually expunged in minnesota, but after doing hours of research i am still confused. so can someone tell me, (in not so technical terms) how and what an expunging is?
