I am writing about a situation that keeps reoccuring on facebook.
I have already contacted the state police about the matter and they told me what Im going to tell you is a crime. I just wanted to make sure that the officer was correct instead of making something bigger than it already is.
My sister and her ex-boyfriend broke up at the beginning of June of 2010. She moved in with her now boyfriend. My sister tells people lies about me every time I turn around it seems like and the last straw for me is when her lawyer told the judge lies about me as well during her and her ex's custody trial over thier 2 children. So anyways it appears that I have been on her ex's side. Her ex (Kevin) and I do spend quite a bit of time together. Nothing sexual at all. Its more like a brother/sister relationship than anything. Anyways my sister's new boyfriend comes along with a very long criminal past including but not limited to domestic violences. My sister says she hasnt heard of anything before she got with him therefore she acts as though she doesnt believe it. Well a friend of the family contacted me through face book and asked me to send a link to my sister. The link is a michigan.gov page for corrections where it has the guys name and what he was charged with. So I sent it to my sister believing she had a right to see it. When I logged onto facebook lastnight I had a message waiting for me. It was from another friend who asked me if my sisters boyfriend's status was meant for me and when I read it I called my husband and asked what I should do and he said call the police to see if there is anything you can do about it. So when I called the police I read him what was written and he told me to print it out and he could have an officer at my home right away or I could go to the police station in the morning. I felt that it wasnt an emergency so I opted to go in the morning. Here is what is written on facebook: WARNING...VERY STRONG LANGUAGE FOLLOWS

Sister's boyfriend: What gets me?? two fat fuckers banging each other. Cheating on her husband while he's on the road. XXXXX so ugly, she looks like Zindy Hall's twin sister. and there are people commenting, currently there are 3 comments 2 of the people commenting are also on my friends list and the other one when I see her around town she talks to me. So I dont think they know who that is about but all they would have to do is ask him in a private message and he would tell them.
I have never cheated on my husband, and he is a truck driver. And my sister is now accusing her ex of rape, but yet she just tried getting back with him and he said no, but I dont think the new boyfriend knows that part. This isnt the first time he wrote about me he has done it in the past and then deletes if off of his page. But then he sent me an appology after it happened the last time and I still have that saved, I never responded to it.
so I guess my question is- is this worth reporting and is he protected just because he hasnt written my name? The guy is also currently on probation, does that matter at all? Sorry for the long post but I wanted to make sure you had more of a big picture.
