I'm at a 5 Way intersection I have a stop sign i proceeded to go because I had enough time..as I make my way through the intersection. The vehicle on the main road hits me on the passenger driver side door and bumper.iI become unconscious and she flipped her car over.I received it take a ticket failing to give right away.the question is a state police give me her insurance information and on that ticket it states that the speed limit was a 45 miles an hour speed limit but there is no speed mile mark. I called the police station to ask them about the speed limit in the area 55. did I mention I believe she was texting during the accident get head was down. can I get out of the ticket for technicality since the police officer documented it on a form day was 45 but in reality it was 55 and there was no sign of the limit..

The reasons you give won't get you out of the ticket.

You say you entered the intersection because you thought you had enough time to cross. Obviously you saw the oncoming vehicle which apparently did not have a stop sign. You should have yielded the right of way rather than trying to hurry across and save a couple seconds.

The posted speed limit, or lack of a sign, is not even a factor.
