My jurisdiction is: montgomery county dayton ohio
I am trying to insure that the amount of support awarded for my daughter is fair for both parties. I make minimum wage ($7.60) and work 40 hours a week while her mother makes $20+ an hour and works 40+ hours a week. I am in school fulltime trying to get a better job and have to also pay daycare on my weekends so that I can work. I feel that the amount awarded is to high considering the incomes and has left me unable to survive and support my daughter when she is with me. I also know that her mother is not reporting an accurate income to the child support agency. The magistrate requested no proof of income on her part and took her word on her income. How can I make sure that all information submitted by her is accurate and that the amount awarded is just. As of right now she is awarded $540 a month. That half of my bring home pay. I can not survive off of this?
