False Accusation by Landlord

I have been informed by the civil courts that I have to present myself to court because my landlord is accusing me and my fiancee of selling drugs in our apartment. That accusation is completely false. I am currently a student completing my bachelor degree in Criminal Justice. I would never jeopardize my career involving myself in such illegal activities. We are facing eviction because a neighbor is the one that is saying these things to my landlord. My landlord is going about hearsay. What can I do to prepare myself and protect me and my family from being evicted. My fiancee has been living in this apartment over 30 years.

It's up to the person filing the lawsuit (i.e., in this case the landlord) to present evidence to back up their claims regarding you guys selling drugs.

Without such evidence as police reports, it's pretty hard to prove such things.
