My friend tried to enter a casino using his id he is 21 years and above but being an international student his international driving license has been rejected by security he then used other friends passport id to enter into the casino as his passport was left at home.
The security found that he was displaying a wrond id thos time called cop and he made a ticket saying :provided false identity and 1st time Offender.
How can this ticket effect and how can hiring a lawyer resolve the ticket

It might be a minor problem if he plans on staying in the US another year or two.

If he's leaving soon, he can ignore it.

Most people would plead not guilty and hire a lawyer.
Some people would just pay the fine and stop breaking the law.

If its a simple citation offense, fines can run anywhere from $200 to $500, especially in the Midwest.

However, just have your mate call the court and ask. The telephone number is printed somewhere on the citation.

I hsve few more questions

In most of the discussions i i have found people discussing about the probation , imprisonment for 6 months or using a pretrial diversion for students will these punishments considered even for a first time offender as my case is straight forward i have my own identity which is my passport but as it was not available at that point of time i used my friends passport. Im not underage but yes i used my friends id .

My question is will i be charged of any of these punishments other than fine

"Probably" not if it is a simple citation & your 1st offense. You can always talk to a lawyer.

Probably no more state crimes, but only the prosecutor can say so with any certainty. Based on what you've revealed, you could have been charged with far more serious crimes, as in felonies.

However, whatever the state does, won't preclude the federal government from doing something, or the immigration authorities.

These days the federal government is much like Elmer Fudd, of cartoon fame, who said, "Shh, I'm hunting wabbits!"

Which means, the Feds are hunting terrorists. After all, it's an election year, and much of America is dissatisfied with the lack of enforcement of our existing immigration laws. That means, read your visa and your attendant documentation - you could be deported for breaking our laws. That means some very unfriendly looking guys with badges and guns might be having a chat with you, too.
