Child Abuse, Molestation, Porn Falsely Accused

My friend just filed a divorce. He served the divorce paper last week and asked for join custody of their son. The wife suddenly stopped the verbal vistation of their son that they initally created (equal days for both parents). She also falsely accused of my friend of child molestation of her daughter when she was 12 years old (she is the step daughter). She is 20 years old now. What would the next step he should take? Can the police arrest him for false accusation? Please help.

Does the 20 year old daughter of the Mother know of the accusation Mom made against him? What does she say?

He may end up needing a lawyer.

The daughter is playing along becuase she has been seeking her mother's attention. This is a way for her mother to give her the attention that the daughter always wanted. The daughter has been in Grenada with her grandparents since she was a child.The daughter came to the States to be with her after the mother got married and she was 12 years old at that time. The husband is the one that applied for his wife and daughter's citizenship a few years ago. The accusation came after she was served with the divorce paper.

If abuse is genuinely suspected, nothing will happen to the accuser even if the accusation ends up being unfounded.

Proving malice and/or deliberate intent is extremely difficult - but more to the point, it wouldn't gain anything.
