My father died intestate 4 years ago. 2 years prior to his death he purchased undeveloped land. I have been paying the yearly taxes thus far. He paid cash for the land and had no creditors or outstanding debts. How can I claim this real estate into my name without a lawyer?

Google INTESTACY OREGON.

I'm not sure the what SOL is in Oregon, if that's where dad died, otherwise make you use tHe state of his death.

You don't need a lawyer, but you might require probate to be opened.

You will require a court order, assuming the state hasn't asserted title to the land.

Then, you will need a lawyer, and a court order.
