I live in the state of Florida and have established a Final Judgement of Paternity, Custody and visitation. The order states my summer visitation begins the day after school is released (20 May 11) for four weeks. From what I can tell my time ends 17 June.

Do I have to let my child leave me before the last day of my four weeks? Also if I refuse to let her go before the 17th are there any reprecussions?

My child has expressed to me on numerous occasions she does not want to live with her mother any longer, can she up and leave.

You must obey the court order.

If you disobey the order your "ex" can make big trouble for you.

A child has no say in where she/he must live.

You can be heard.

If you desire a change or have information for the court in this matter, you know what you need to do.

I cannot afford to do anything more at the moment so I must live with what is already established. I want all my time, not a day less. So how does the court calculate 4 weeks? Will not use this advice if I am dragged back into court as legal counsel, just wanting the information for operational risk management purposes.

Ask the court for clarification.

Write a letter to the court, copy the other party and their attorney; and ask the court for an answer.

I have no way of knowing what the judge in your case intended.

I calculate four weeks from 20 May as ending on 17 June.

Four weeks means 28 days to me and most of America.

The child should be delivered to the other parent by 11:59pm on Friday, 17 June!
