Father of child deceased, unable to get testing from family

The father of my unborn child is deceased. Getting a dna test done with his family is not likely. His blood sample is on file at the medical examiners office. How would i get a dna test after my child is born with the blood sample without having to get testing from a family member? I've never had to deal with this issue before and I'm unsure of what to do. My child could be eligible for financial benefits. I know the family will not sign off to release the blood sample. What do i do?
 
The family does not need to sign off. You need to obtain a court order. This is far easier to do with the assistance of an attorney.

First off, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your baby's father.

Have you attempted asking the State Attorney general's Office to do this for you?

They'll even pay for the test to get you your bennies.
