My husband was living in a house in La Crescenta (which he was paying mortgage on) Owned by my husband and his father, and when he acquired a drinking problem. His father had him moved out into another house 5 minutes away from him. Having the house paid off. His father did not have him put on the title of the new house due to his ex-wives ways. Knowing she was only in the marriage to get something out of it. His father is now fed up with his on and off again drinking problems and is evicting us from the house. I think my husband is entitled to the money he put into the previous house as he is being evicted. Please let me know

This is a bit of a confusing post. You're saying your father-in-law moved your husband out of a house that your husband also owned into a house that only your father-in-law owns and is now evicting you from that house?

Yes, and There is no rental agreement, no lease terms is was flat out paid off, and was just considered the remaining balance inheritance. Now he is being evicted, but where did all the money go that he put into the original house?

The money went to pay the mortgage.

However, as co-owner of the first house, dad had no right to "evict" your husband as this was not a landlord/tenant relationship in that house.
