please help my boyfriend and i are trying to get custody of his 2 yr old son, babies mother was charged with unlawful possession of meth,and aggravated theft 1, got fired from job because of dirty U.A., has no place to live and hasnt seen baby for 2 months. we have her arrest record and background check... she has had 9 referrals to DHS and so much more we are doing the custody on our own, need help on what we should do to prove she is a unfit parent.

The baby's father can seek custody.

It isn't easy to do without an attorney.

It is equivalent to removing a cancerous tumor or giving yourself a root canal because you can't afford to pay a surgeon or pay a dentist.

If you can't afford a lawyer, your best bet might be to contact CPS or your state's child protection agency. Dad could indicate his intentions, and they might assist you.

the only one with standing to get custody is your bf. you are nothing more then his current bedwarmer, and have no rights to this child at all, even after you and your bf marry. there is no we, there is only your bf. getting involved in this when it is legally none of your business will hurt your bf's case.
