father's will

My father, who I barely knew, passed away in March of 2005 - I just recently learned of his death - My question is, how do I find out if I am a beneficiary or if i have a claim to the estate - Also, is it possible to view a copy of the will online or to receive a copy - No one in the family would have known how to reach me - Thank you

Your easiest way is to get in touch with the executor and ask them for a copy of the will. Find out from one of your relatives who the executor is. Failing that, contact the courthouse nearest to where he died to see if his will has been submitted for probate. I've never heard of one being available online, but you never know. More likely they'll send you a copy.
